Auditions “Legally Blonde: The Musical”

Director Clare Cooke will hold auditions for adults and children ages 10 and up on the Marion Palace Theatre stage. Participants age 15 years and older should report from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Children age 10-14 will perform in groups and should report from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All participants may audition either day and should enter through the front theatre doors. Those interested in participating in the chorus will audition in groups. Individuals wishing to audition for principle roles are asked to come prepared to sing a solo. Auditioners are requested to select a one-minute Broadway-style audition tune. A pianist will be provided. No CDs please. All auditioners should come dressed in casual clothing appropriate for performing choreography. Anyone interested in a principle role should also be prepared to read from the script. “Legally Blonde: The Musical”Directed by Clare Cooke

A sorority-sister valley girl goes to Harvard Law to get her boyfriend back, and ends up defying expectations while staying true to herself. Based on the novel and the 2001 film of the same name“Legally Blonde: The Musical” includes a peppy score and playful storyline. Auditions for “The Fantasticks”

Director, Greg Patterson will hold auditions in the May Pavilion for the Palace Theatre’s August production of “The Fantasticks” on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15 from 6pm to 8pm. Patterson is seeking adults ages 15 years and up, to fill 8 character roles for the play.

“Set the Stage” Theatre Camp Instructor Johnny Steiner

Children ages 6 through 14 learn theatre terminology, lines, cues, songs and dance numbers and perform a stage mini-musical.  Since 1998, young thespians have treasured these summer camp experiences that give students acting skills, performance knowledge, as sense of accomplishment, but most of all the camps are FUN! Class size is limited. Registration deadline is one week before camp begins. Camp fees $65-$75.

Auditions for “Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr.”

Director, Kristi Wink will hold auditions for the Palace Theatre’s fall production of the junior musical production of Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. on August 10 from 1pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm.  Wink will be selecting children age 8 to 17 years. Auditioners should come dressed in casual clothing appropriate for performing choreography. Anyone interested in a principle role should also be prepared to read from the script. “Nunsense”Directed by Clare Cooke

The Little Sisters of Hoboken present a variety show to raise money for 52 sisters burials after being accidently poisoned by the cook, Sister Julia (Child of God).  Featuring five wacky sisters, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises. Tickets: $15 general admission
